         <title><![CDATA[Join us for the Pike Island Challenge]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[MBC will be hosting the Pike Island Challenge on Sat., Sept. 11 from 7  a.m. to noon. Boats will start launching at 7:30 a.m.
The casual, fun race starts at the Minnesota Boat Club. Boats race  upstream to Pike Island, row around the island and then back to the  boathouse. The race is about 13 miles.
Breakfast on Raspberry Island will follow the event. Pancakes, bacon  and sausage will be provided. Participants are also encouraged to bring a  dish to share. Family and friends are welcome to...]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[On Aug. 13 and 14, 53 MBC rowers from the competitive, U23 and junior  teams put a strong showing to repeat as the Grand Aggregate winners at  the NWIRA Championships held in Kenora, Ontario. For the second  consecutive year, the MBC rowers brought the coveted Sir Lipton Cup back  to St. Paul. This is the 32nd time in 107 years of the NWIRA Regatta  that MBC has won the Lipton Cup.

The teams are looking to defend the prestigious Lipton  Cup! MBC won the regatta in 2009, which was hosted by MBC and held on Lake Elmo. Good luck to all competitors!]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[&#160;&#160;The NWIRA regatta, to be held Aug. 21 and 22 on Lake Elmo, is fast approaching. You can help make the 106th annual NWIRA regatta a success by volunteering. MBC is looking for volunteers for a variety of tasks, including dock installation, stake boat holders, DJ, video camera operator, assistance on the docks, during the award ceremony, at the concession stands&#160;and much more.

The NWIRA regatta program will be 28 pages and will feature the winning poster design&#160;on the front cover. Half of the program - 14 pages - is designated for ads. 
To generate revenue that will&#160;earn money for the club, the NWIRA Poster, Program and T-Shirt committee is asking you to contact any businesses that you frequently work with&#160;or visit and&#160;ask them to support MBC by purchasing ad space in the regatta program.
